A simple smoothie can help you up your game first thing on a Monday morning. Saturday was quite an eventful day for us at home – it was time to hit the vegetable store and we found the leafiest of vegetables ready to be blended into the best of homemade smoothies.
I made this Go Green smoothie of mine in a whim and it tasted just as perfect.
What you’ll need:
- A bunch of Palak/ Spinach leaves
- A handful of Pudina/ Mint leaves
- Some Coriander/ Cilantro leaves
- A tall glass of water
- 1 pear – chopped up
All that you need to do is wash all the leaves thoroughly in cold water to ensure that there is no mud or any other sediments. This will spoil the taste of your smoothie for sure and will probably mess up your stomach too. I also dunked all the leaves in lukewarm water to make sure that you get rid of any creepy crawlies.
Blitz up all of the above listed ingredients in a blender. Add the water in bit by bit to get a good consistency. Too much of water might make it too runny and too less can make it too thick. Remember that you don’t have to add a sweetener to this – the pear (if sweet enough) is good enough to make this smoothie palatable.
